Who We Are
The student ministry at Asbury United Methodist Church exists to glorify God in living life together to empower students to become disciples of Jesus Christ through worship, study and service.
Why Called RESET?
The student ministry here at Asbury goes by the name of Asbury RESET. 2 Corinthians 5:17 reads, ”So then, if anyone is in Christ, that person is part of the new creation. The old things have gone away, and look, new things have arrived!" We believe that God is in the RESET business. Here at Asbury we welcome you just as you are and encourage you to RESET and grow into the person God has created you to be.

Michael "Moose" MOSTeller
Director of Student Ministries
Moose Mosteller has been in youth ministry for over 15 years. Moose has a Masters degree in Youth Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary and an undergraduate degree in General Speech Communications from Valdosta State University. He got the nickname “Moose” from his dad while playing football for 11 years. Fun fact is that Moose was a college debate professor at Asbury College for one year before graduating.
Associate Director of Student Ministries
Joe grew up in Birmingham, AL where he was a member of Spain Park High School's class of 2012 and recently graduated from the University of Alabama. He enjoys all bodies of water and anything related to them, and when he's not eating abnormally large amounts of food, you can find him reading, spending time with his buddies, or cooking abnormally large amounts of food. He has a heart for student ministry that's been there since his time in high school and looks forward to any opportunity he has to show students how awesome God really is.
Caitlin Deason is the youth intern at Asbury. Having gone through the youth group, worked as a college summer intern, and now back on staff year-round, it is evident that Caitlin holds Asbury near and dear to her heart. Caitlin graduated from Oak Mountain High School in 2015. She is now a senior at Samford University, where she is working on getting her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. When Caitlin is not pages into her nursing textbooks, you can find her spending time with her friends or taking a much enjoyed nap. While Caitlin does have a passion for nursing, she also has a passion for youth ministry. Since she was young, Asbury has felt like home to Caitlin. It fills her with great joy to be back at the place that once poured so much into her and to have the opportunity to share the love of God with youth who sit in the very seats where she once sat.
