Sunday School Classes Fall 1 Semester (Aug. 14-Oct. 9)
Youth Sunday School Class 101- Raising Your Parents
One thing every teenager has in common is parents. We all have them, we all have to deal with them. The funny thing is most parents are learning as they go (the book on teenagers has yet to be written). What if we could help our parents out. Learn a little about their world and help them learn a little about ours. Raising Your Parents is an open class to all 7th-12th grade students to read about and discuss topics like having fun as a family, appreciating why moms and dads do what they do, and finding the best ways to handle arguments and disagreements with your parents. We will also divulge a few secrets about rules, independence, and getting permission! Even though the teenage years aren't easy, you'll find that a little bit of patience, understanding, and communication will go a long way toward experiencing a more solid relationship with your parents.
Youth Sunday School Class 102- Students Leaders
Ever thought about joining the Asbury RESET Student Leadership Team? Want to find out more about being a student leader? Then this class is for you. We will take the next few weeks discussing and talking about leadership and what that means in our context here at Asbury RESET. This class is a requirement to join the Student Leadership Team. The class and the team is open to any youth 7th-12th grade. Students can just take the class and not join the Student Leadership Team.
Youth Sunday School Class 103- Children’s Ministry Aid
The Student Ministry and Children’s Ministry have teamed up to offer students the chance to service within the Children’s Ministry by being an aid for a children’s Sunday school class. Youth will be able at the beginning of the Fall 1 Semester to sign-up and serve in the Children’s Ministry for the seven week period. We will have ten open positions each semester. The application to sign-up to be a Children’s Ministry Aid can be found online or picked up from Maggie Ward’s office.
