BigStuf High School Summer Camp


This year's summer camp will be at BigStuf in Panama City Beach from July 11 - 15, 2016 for all current 8th grade and high school students!  Cost is $375 per student and includes transportation and week of BigStuf (4 nights of lodging, all meals at camp and one dinner out-on-the-town, 7 sessions and session materials).  Other cost is 2 roads meals, 1 each to and from camp. $150 non-refundable deposit due at registration, remaining due on April 17 (last day to register but only 35 student spots available).  Parents interested in serving as volunteers, please contact us at reset@asburyonline.org.

General Information

Transportation Details

  • Leaving Church Parking Lot at 9:30am on July 11 (eat breakfast before you come to the church)
  • Arriving Back to Church Parking Lot at 4:00pm on July 15

What to Bring:
Students need to bring beach towels, sunscreen, water bottles, flip-flops, bathing suit, shorts, t-shirts, Bibles, and journals. Bed linens and bath towels are provided in the hotel rooms.  Extra money for snacks and to purchase items at BigStuf Store (no more than $40). Due to limited space, please only bring ONE suitcase or duffle bag.  Phones are allowed on the bus ride down and back (to listen to music).  Phones will be taken up during the week and kept in lockbox by Moose.

Dress Code:
The reason for our dress code is so the focus of camp will not be altered. We want to keep camp with as little distractions as possible.

Guys, here are some parameters to follow:

  • Please make sure all attire is modest and appropriate
  • No speedos or anything that semi resembles a speedo
  • Unless at the beach or pool, wear a t-shirt at all times that completely covers the chest and torso
  • No sagging of shorts, pants or swim trunks

Girls, here are some parameters to follow:

  • Please make sure all attire is modest and appropriate
  • One piece bathing suits (no cutouts) OR tankini’s that fully cover the stomach (Tankini tops must remain down at all times, if not you will be asked to put on a cover up)
  • Stomach should be covered at all times
  • All shirts and dresses should have a modest neckline
  • Shorts must have at least a 3” inseam
  • Skirts and dresses should keep you fully covered when bending over

It is of great importance that church leadership properly guides the focus of camp. If students do not follow dress code, BigStuf staff and interns hold the right to ask students to change into appropriate clothing. Leaders will be contacted if necessary.

Free Time Activities:
On site there is the beach, pool, and games such as triple toss, cornhole, spikeball and kanjam.  There are optional rec tournaments including basketball and beach volleyball.
